Concentration – Body Awareness

  • Proper exercise execution
  • Muscle contraction in focused areas

Control

  • Smooth execution – speed is not important; maintain muscle firmness throughout movement
  • Maintaining body control using core stabilization muscles
  • Maintaining body control throughout movements within vertical and horizontal plane

Breathing

  • Deep breathing – expand lungs; breath through back in rhythm with movements

Movement

  • Consistent motion throughout all exercises
  • Non-stop ongoing fluid motions
  • Full extensions and range of motion without over extending or locking joints
  • Maintaining all movements within sphere of body

Body Position

  • Neutral spine vs. imprinted spine
  • Scapula flattening
  • Abdominal positioning
  • Center of gravity
